All people from Le Marche remember the 2009 commercial that aimed at promoting our land in Italy and abroad as “Le Marche: an infinite discovery!” whose main character is the famous Hollywood actor Dustin Hoffman. (The original video is available: here)
What many may not know is that the beauties of our land have found the way into the heart of the star, who later decided to buy a villa in the prestigious Barcaglione neighborhood, close to Falconara Marittima in the province of Ancona.
Moreover, Hoffmann wears shoes made by craftsmen in Le Marche, which has a long tradition in shoe manufacture. And like him, many other VIPs or chiefs of state. From Silvester Stallone to George Bush, as well as George Clooney or Vladimir Putin…they all go crazy for the ‘Made in Le Marche’ shoes!

Some years ago, even Bob Dylan fell in love with the local specialities of our region, to the point of asking to the wine farm “Fattoria Le Terrazze” in Numana to create a special red wine with his signature on the back bottle label.

Barack Obama and Vladimir Putin toasted the UN General Assembly that was held last September 28, 2015 in New York with Le Marche sparkling wine named “Bolla Rosa” (aka:”Pink Bubbles”) made by the farm “Giovanni Giusti” in Montignano.
Even one of the greatest and most iconic rock bands ever, the Pink Floyd, on their latest album entitled “The Endless River” showed a picture of Le Marche map on the inside of the cover: what a great surprise! Their final album sold millions of copies and the old map of Le Marche has been seen worldwide. I dedicated a post to this news at the time, and you can find it here.
In a nutshell, my dear friends…spring is coming and Le Marche is going to bloom!

But in case you’re more lucky and find it somewhere, please let me know. Thanks!
